It's Finals time...Have you been staying Happy?

This time of the year is stressful, take a breath and Happy Dinosaur will catch you up on what we've been doing.

This time of the semester can make us our own enemies and Happy Dinosaur would like to remind you to relax. Focusing can be hard so Happy Dinosaur is offering a special deal for college students, but let’s catch you up on Happy Dinosaur a little first.

I wanted to thank everyone who watched my pitch at Get Seeded, Happy Dinosaur won second prize and I have some big plans for the next twelve months for the company. I am finally setting up my online store through Shopify, but this was actually quite a surprise for my Website Development Team. After a brief job security scare and a thirty minute furlough, we have decided to redirect our technological progress to focus on myDinosaur…the Appy Dinosaur, if you will.

Several pitches after I began this process, I have a brand new plan for myDinosaur, which will feature the following samples, among others:

• Idle game for your Happy Dinosaur avatar

• Multi-purpose care tasks for your dinosaur and yourself

  • We want to focus not only on creating your own happiness, but on ensuring that you stay happy. With myDinosaur you can set your dinosaur to various levels of “Care Modes” that can customize a self-care style daily task list. Some items might include “Your Happy Dinosaur needs a break” with options to remind yourself to take a rest, a snack break, or go for a walk.

• Online community of Happy Dinosaur friends across the world

• Happy Dino-Go, an augmented reality experience

My (newly renamed and growing) Software Development team now consists of five Computer Science students from UConn and I’m excited to work with them and share our progress with you as we go.

I recently had my final pitch for my course, MGMT 3501, in which I received some feedback from guest investors who reminded me that Happy Dinosaur is not just a toy. Happy Dinosaur is not just in the stuffed animal market, but in the Happiness market and our goal is make sure to prioritize the user experience with every customer. Your mental health is important and there is a great deal of psychology in comfort objects and positivity tokens that I hope to research more this summer.
